Learn how to tell your story in 90 seconds or less at this workshop on Wednesday, Feb. 7 at 5 p.m in the iMakerspace. This will help you get ready for the Eagle Works Idea Challenge on 2/15 – your chance to win $1000 scholarship.

We’ll follow this session up with a chance to practice your pitch on Monday, Feb. 12 at 5 p.m., also in the iMakerspace.

The iMakerspace is on the third floor of Volpe Library. Use the north staircase (past the MyTECH helpdesk) to access. If you need an accessible entrance, please email Andrea at akruszka@tntech.edu before 4:30 p.m. that day to arrange.

The Student Government Association and the Intercultural Affairs Ambassadors presents, Campus Conversations: “Sharing Our Stories” in honor of Black History Month. Join us on Tuesday, February 6th at 6 pm in the RUC Tech Pride Room. Come hear from Tech faculty, staff and students who will share their experiences. Refreshments will be provided.

Join the Center for Career Development on Tuesday, February 6, beginning at 11 a.m. in Roaden University Center Tech Pride Room (1st floor) for a Purple Career Readiness Workshop! Employers from Enterprise Mobility, Flex-Tek, and Wilson Sporting Goods will share their tips and advice on how to impress a potential company after graduating college.

This event is open to all students in all majors and counts towards the Purple Career Readiness Certificate for junior and senior students. Bring your Eagle Card with you to receive credit for attendance.

Tech will kick off the month-long celebration at the February 1st Men’s and Women’s Basketball games beginning at 5:30 pm at the Hooper Eblen Center. The Counseling Center will be hosting a Drop-In group built to give space to discuss a variety of issues (life skills, transitioning into and out of college, social skills, and/or whatever topics you bring). Group will run from 12PM-1PM in the Eagle Resource Room (RUC 387) each Friday for the remainder of the semester. Many hands make light work, so let’s work together!
