Please join us at the Joan Derryberry Art Gallery, located in the Roaden University Center, on Thurs. October 29 at 4:30pm for the gallery talk and reception featuring fiber artist, Rachel Meginnes.

On Wednesday, October 28th, the Tennessee Tech Tuba Ensemble will present their fall recital in Derryberry Hall at 7:30 p.m. The ensemble, conducted by Dr. Preston Light, will be performing a wide variety of music by James Barnes, Thomas Rodgers, Kayla Holsopple Opalinski, JaKobe Henry, Paul Holmes, Stevie Wonder, and TTU alumnus Jon Oliver.

The ensemble will also be raising money during the concert for the Sarah Cannon Fund at the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee, which supports people living with cancer through community-based programs and resources. If you want to learn watercolor basics, or if you are curious about more advanced techniques, this workshop is geared for all levels. This workshop will include instruction on the step-by-step processes necessary for effective watercolor creations. The instructor will introduce students to various techniques and tools while encouraging each student to develop their unique, individual style. Following introductory demonstrations, students will have the option of creating up to three watercolor paintings, depending on the complexity of the subject, with one-on-one guidance. Tennessee Tech’s Bryan Symphony Orchestra will perform a free concert at Dogwood Park Pavilion on Sunday evening, September 6th, at 7:00pm.  The concert will feature music from Super Mario Bros and The Legend of Zelda, along with patriotic, pops, and light classics.  Bring your lawn chairs or blankets and experience a wonderful evening of live orchestral music.
