    Autonomous Robotics Club Wins Awards at the VEX U Robotics World Championship

    For the third year in a row, Tennessee Tech’s Autonomous Robotics Club has competed at the VEX U Robotics World Championship! At this competition, Robotics Teams from all across the world compete to earn awards in an engineering-based game called “Push Back”. The competition took place in St. Louis, Missouri, from April 24-27th, with only 120 qualified university teams attending. After three days of competing, the ARC Black team won the Build Award, and the ARC Gold team won the Innovate Award.

    Stretch n’ Sip: A Finals Week Reset

    Finals week can bring stress, long study hours, and tense muscles – but it doesn’t have to feel overwhelming. Join Campus Recreation for Stretch n’ Sip, a relaxed pop-up wellness session designed to help you slow down, move intentionally, and reset both mind and body before finals begin.

    This session will include gentle stretching and light movement suitable for all levels, followed by coffee and light refreshments in a welcoming, open-air environment. It’s the perfect opportunity to take a study break, connect with others, and start your weekend feeling refreshed and grounded.

    Free snacks and a photo booth will be available and on May 5th therapy goats will be on the library front lawn from 12pm -2pm.

    Application Deadline Extended for Graduate NRT Fellowship Program

    The Fall 2026 application deadline for the Engendering the Spirit of Gadugi at the Food-Energy-Water Nexus graduate fellowship program has been extended to Monday, May 11 at 11:59 p.m.  Fellowships include tuition, fees, and a $34,000 annual stipend.  Application instructions can be found on the program webpage at https://www.tntech.edu/graduatestudies/nrt-nsffellowship.php.

    As the academic year concludes, students should please ensure they collect all personal packages from Mail Services before departing campus for the summer. Any unclaimed packages will be returned to the sender on May 11.

    Distinction in Chemistry Research Seminar- April 30

    Senior chemistry major Sydney Decatur will present her Distinction in Chemistry Research presentation on Thursday, April 30 at 11 a.m. in LSC  1207. Sydney’s presentation “Dust, Fertilizer, Candles, and Carbon Capture: My Journey Through Analytical Chemistry Research at Tennessee Tech” will cover her research at Tech under Dr. Andrew Callender and at an ORNL summer internship, as well as her experiences in the Chemistry Department and on campus.
