  • Last Day for 50% Parking Permit Refund

    The last day for a 50% refund for parking permits is Tuesday, February 2.  Parking permits must be returned along with a refund request form to Parking & Transportation, located in the Roaden University Center at the Information Desk.  These must be received by 4:30 p.m. on this day.  We can provide a refund request form or you may print one out from our website: https://www.tntech.edu/parking/refund-request.php.

    Parking permits are required to park on campus, so they should only be returned if faculty, staff, or students no longer have a need to park on campus.

  • Visitor Parking

    As the semester gets underway, Parking & Transportation would like to send out a friendly reminder that visitor parking spaces require a visitor permit and should not be utilized by any faculty, staff, or students on campus. This includes timed visitor parking spaces, such as the 2-hour visitor spaces at the Fitness Center. Departments who have visitors coming to campus should obtain a permit for their guest by completing the Visitor Request Form. Visitors may also obtain permits directly from our office, located in the Roaden University Center at the Information Desk.     Purple Career Workshop on Jan. 28: Employer Insights to Successful Interviewing

    Join the Center for Career Development on Thursday, Jan. 28, beginning at 11:00 a.m. in the Roaden University Center Multipurpose Room (2nd floor) for this Purple Career Readiness Workshop. A panel of employers will share their top tips and advice from their perspective for having a successful interview.

    This event is open to all students in all majors and counts towards the Purple Career Readiness Certificate for junior and senior students. Bring your Eagle Card for a quick sign-in.

    To attend virtually, access the TEAMS link in Handshake Events. To receive credit for attending, you must log in with your Tennessee Tech email, participate if asked to during the workshop and be present for at least 80% of the presentation.

    Rural Reimagined: Call to Faculty for Spring 2021

    Since Rural Reimagined’s implementation in March 2019, TN Tech faculty have impacted rural areas through rural-related research, coursework, and over $1.4 million in activated grants. With the beginning of the Spring 2021 semester, Rural Reimagined wants to recognize all faculty who have or are currently working on rural-related research or coursework. If you have received a rural-related grant, are currently working on a proposal for rural-related research, or have included/plan to include rural-based objectives into your coursework, please email Kinsey Potter at sw-kbpotter@tntech.edu.     To post your student event, select “submit calendar event” and fill out the form. The event will be posted on the student activities (university) calendar and appear on the upcoming events feed on the student events page.

    L.A.R.P. Club Meetings this Semester!

    Hello Adventurer!

    The TTU L.A.R.P. Club will be hosting its regular meetings on Thursdays and Fridays from 3:00pm – 5:00pm in Sherlock Park. Meetings are open to all TTU students, faculty, and staff. The themes of the meetings are typically combat with foam weapons in both an individual and team-based fashion. Garb is encouraged (e.g. tunics, plain neutral pants, boots, armor, etc.) and can be historically or fantastically based. The club provides weapons for members to use, but feel free to bring your own L.A.R.P. weapon for us to check. All you have to bring is water, gloves, PPE, and an attitude for adventure!
