The Rural Reimagined Club (RRC) is excited to announce the first Rural Journeys Speaker Series session of the semester. This series is part of the RRC’s mission to build awareness and advocacy for rural communities. Join the first session on Tuesday, February 9th, at 11am via Teams, where Hailey Updike and Misty Phy will be sharing their stories.
Hailey Updike, a Human Ecology major, hopes to raise awareness of the situations foster youth face and highlight the importance of Family and Consumer Sciences education. Misty Phy, a certified Peer Recovery Specialist and the founder of Moments of Mercy, will speak about how her nonprofit corporation uses peer support programs to aid those struggling with hardships.
