The Sociology and Criminal Justice club will be hosting guest speaker Dr. Dennis Bowman on Monday, November 7th from 6 pm- 8pm in Stonecipher Lecture Hall room 113. Dr. Bowman has extensive experience in law enforcement both practically and academically. With over 30 years of experience from the Illinois State Police and as Professor Emeritus in the School of Law Enforcement & Justice Administration at Western Illinois University, Dr. Bowman will discuss contemporary issues currently faced by law enforcement and strategies for dealing with those issues. Dr. Bowman will also provide students with tips on how to earn positions in law enforcement agencies upon graduating.
