The Student Members of the American Chemical Society will be hosting a tabling event on Tuesday, April 19 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the LSC patio. In honor of Chemists Celebrate Earth Week we will be proving information on green cleaning products and how using the principles of green chemistry helps make safer, healthier, and more environmentally sustainable cleaning products. You can also see how designing products for degradation creates items like starch-based packing peanuts that dissolve in water, whereas conventional packing peanuts persist in the environment for long periods of time.
