On April 24, 2026, updated regulations under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Title II will take effect for public universities. The updated rule expands the accessibility requirements for digital content by placing greater emphasis on ensuring that websites, mobile applications, and digital instructional materials, are accessible proactively, rather than applying retroactive accommodations.
