Undergraduate STEM Research Seminar: Professor Alicia Aarnio, UNCG

53

This Friday we will be visited by Professor Alicia Aarnio from the University of North Carolina Greensboro. Professor Aarnio’s talk, Radiative transfer modeling of complex young stars’ magnetospheres, will describe why knowing about a star’s magnetic field is important and how the magnetic fields of young stars can be deduced from astronomical observations. The seminar will be at 4pm in Bruner Hall 119 with snacks served starting at 3:30pm. These seminars are geared for undergraduates from any STEM major, but graduate students and faculty are encouraged to attend!
