Open Foundry Night!

37

Want a distraction from studying for finals? Interested in learning more about the metal casting process? Good news, the Tennessee Tech Chapter of the American Foundry Society is hosting an open foundry night on April 24th starting at 6:00pm. During this time, you will get the chance to see, and even partially participate in, the casting process as experienced personnel walk you through each step of making your own casting. Location: 110 W Tenth St, Cookeville, TN 38501. Disclaimer: Only authorized personnel can pour the metals. Closed-toed leather shoes/boots are required. Pants are required (NO SWEATPANTS OR LEGGINGS). Safety glasses will be provided but it is highly recommended you bring your own in case of a shortage. If you have any questions, email us at afs@tntech.edu. We hope to see you all there. Have a great day!
