Join the Tennessee Tech Multicultural Affairs Office, Center for Student Engagement, SGA, Diversity & Inclusion Office, History Department, Commission on the Status of Blacks (CSB), Human Ecology, The Women’s Center and the Music department in celebrating and honoring Black History Month.

The events include a Daily Trivia & Prize Give away;
February 2, Jonathan Blanchard 11am in RUC Tech Pride Room, “History of Hip Hop”, and 6pm in RUC Multipurpose, Concert “The Block Party”; February 7, Anthony Ray Hinton, 6pm, Derryberry Auditorium who will share his story of being wrongly convicted and exonerated after 30 years through the efforts of the Equal Justice Initiative (EJI); February 9, RUC Tech Pride Room, Jeff Hobbs speaks on “Cherokee Freedmen” with Associate Professor Troy Smith; February 19, Gospel Extravaganza, Location TBD; Feb. 21st, 11am Tech Pride Room “Racing Through Time” Student led History Exhibit, and 5:30pm RUC Multipurpose Room, Soul Food Night; Feb. 22, 7:30pm Derryberry Hall Auditorium, Center Stage Event with Ebone Bell; February 26, 5:30pm IMPACT Banquet, Leslie Town Center honoring Mary Alice McClellan and Lori Jackson Stode (tickets required); February 27, 6pm, RUC Tech Pride Room, Paint Night with Marc Burnett, alumnus and former VP of Student Affairs.
