This week in the Undergraduate STEM Research Seminar, physics major Emma Mitchell will give a talk on Light Attenuation in Scintillators. Emma will describe her work over the summer developing an experimental setup to characterize long-term changes in the light collection efficiency of a plastic scintillator. The seminar will be this Friday, October 15th at 4pm in Volpe Library 248. It will be geared for undergraduates from any STEM major, but graduate students and faculty are also encouraged to attend!
