Writer Tamara Winfrey-Harris’ presentation, “Serena: Superwoman as Every (black) woman”, digs into the way mainstream media depict black women to reveal common stereotypes and discusses the need to change the way black women are portrayed. This Center Stage event is cohosted by the Women’s Center with the Department of English’s Creative Writing program and Multicultural Affairs.
