Undergraduate STEM Research Seminar: Rachel Hamburg, UAH

296

This week’s Undergraduate STEM Research Seminar will feature Rachel Hamburg, a graduate student from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. Rachel’s talk, Gamma-rays and Gravitational-waves in the Multi-messenger Era, will describe how mankind’s recently-developed ability to simultaneously detect gamma-ray and gravitational radiation from astronomical events like neutron star mergers provides an exciting new way to understand our universe. The seminar will be this Friday, Feb. 7th, at 3pm in Foundation Hall 238, with refreshments served at 2:30pm. This seminar series is geared for undergraduates from any STEM major, but graduate students and faculty are also encouraged to attend! Visit the seminar webpage to see the full Spring 2020 schedule.
