This week in the Undergraduate STEM Research Seminar, senior Mechanical Engineering major JP Nelms is going to talk about additive manufacturing and the open-source Robotic Operating System (ROS) and how these, as well as other, transformative technologies are driving a new industrial revolution. JP gained experience with these tools last summer through an international study program in Aachen, Germany, and he will also describe what is was like being part of that program. JP’s talk, Experiences and Takeaways from studying Industry 4.0, ROS, and 3D Printing in Germany, will be this Friday, Feb. 21st, at 3pm in Foundation Hall 238, with refreshments served at 2:30pm.
