Seminar on being out in STEM- Feb. 24

Out in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (oSTEM) and the Student Members of the American Chemical Society (SMACS) are co-hosting a seminar on Monday, Feb. 24 at 5 p.m. in Foster 406. Shawn Zeringue-Krosnick, Ph.D, an associate professor of biology will be presenting on her experiences being out in the field of science. The presentation will be given in an interactive, workshop style where attendees are encouraged to ask questions and engage with the speaker. The event is open to all students, staff, and faculty. Members of the LGBTQ+ community and allies are encouraged to attend to learn to how to better support diversity and inclusivity in STEM fields. Questions can be sent to acarroll@tntech.edu.
