He has been responsible for developing a variety of partnerships between universities and private entities. He also served as the executive director for Cleveland State\u2019s Fenn Research and Development Institute.<\/p>\n<p>Vice President for Research and Economic Development Bharat Soni came to Tech from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he was the chairman of the mechanical engineering department.
