Our second\u00a0virtual conversation will be on <strong>Tuesday, October 27th\u00a0at 3pm<\/strong>. Dr. Catherine Jones and Casey Garrison\u00a0will both be speaking about their experience in rural\u00a0education.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Jones is the current\u00a0Principal at Prescott South Elementary\u00a0(PSES), a Tennessee STEM Designated School. She has been working with STEM practices since 2012 when PSES\u00a0participated in a major STEM grant partnering with the Oakley STEM Center and Prescott South Middle School\u00a0(PSMS).<\/p>\n<p>Casey Garrison\u00a0spent her first 16 years as a middle school science educator and assistant principal at PSMS,\u00a0where\u00a0she developed and implemented additional STEAM-specific encore courses based on student inventories, resulting in PSMS earning their TN STEM School Designation.\u00a0This year, Casey\u00a0is Capshaw\u00a0Elementary&#8217;s\u00a0Assistant Principal.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re interested in hearing these two speak, go to\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.tntech.edu\/tab\">www.tntech.edu\/tab<\/a> and click on the link to the series provided on the page.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Rural Reimagined Club\u00a0and TAB\u00a0is proud to announce part two of our Rural Journeys Speaker Series for this semester.
