{"id":6901,"date":"2020-03-02T11:00:30","date_gmt":"2020-03-02T17:00:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.tntech.edu\/techtimes\/?p=6901"},"modified":"2020-03-02T11:00:30","modified_gmt":"2020-03-02T17:00:30","slug":"nisbet-named-january-ambassador","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.tntech.edu\/techtimes\/2020\/people\/nisbet-named-january-ambassador\/","title":{"rendered":"Nisbet named January Ambassador"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Matt Nisbet, formerly a financial associate in the College of Business and current assistant director of operations for Residential Life, has been named the first Ambassador of the Month for 2020.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMatt is one of the most professional, respectful people I know,\u201d said economics professor Ferdinand DiFurio in his nomination letter. \u201cHe is also very dependable, knowledgeable and enthusiastic about his work at TTU.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Business instructor Larry Smith said Nisbet is a team player who works conscientiously for the students and faculty without seeking recognition.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Ambassador of the Month honor would be perfect for him,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Fellow instructor Donna Smith said recognizing Nisbet as the Ambassador of the Month would be perfect.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMatt\u2019s tireless and wholehearted support of students and the entire College of Business is outstanding but often behind the scenes,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Business professor Curtis Armstrong said that Nisbet is an excellent example of an administrator with a servant\u2019s heart.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe is constantly committed to helping those he serves,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Clay Wesley, associate director of the College of Business\u2019 Student Success Center, said Nisbet is the most consistent, integrity-filled professional he has ever been on a team with.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe does things the right way, is constantly looking for ways to improve process and is never self-promoting,\u201d he said. \u201cHe has helped me out of a jam (self-inflicted, usually) many times. Most people (like me) have no idea of all the processes needed to be completed correctly to keep the records clean and bills paid. No matter what mess someone has made, I have never seen or heard Matt be anything but positively professional in getting it fixed.
