The Putnam Math Competition is calling.<\/p>\n<p>Held here on campus on the first Saturday in December, it consists of four 90-minute sessions, comprising a dozen supremely challenging problems, covering everything from algebra, geometry and calculus to number theory, linear algebra and methods of inductive proofs.<\/p>\n<p>These are a series of rigorous puzzles that call upon both your math knowledge and your problem-solving skills. Top performers receive scholarships, and all leave with the feeling of scaling the Mount Everest of math.<\/p>\n<p>There is no cost to participate, so if you&#8217;d like to learn more, contact Mark Rogers in the TTU Math Department (at mcrogers@tntech.edu).
