He and other founding board members saw a lack of people of color involved in education policy at all levels, as well as a lack of convening space and resources in Tennessee for the recruitment and retention of educators of color.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. George will participate in a panel forum for students on how to support the diversity of K-12 students across the state on Oct. 22 at 4 p.m. in the STEM Center Auditorium.<\/p>\n<p>Then he will speak on diversity and mentorship in education at 6 p.m. in the STEM Center Auditorium.<\/p>\n<p>On Oct. 23, Dr. George will be a part of a panel forum for faculty on support for and retention of educators of color.
