Dr. Hunt proposed her project titled \u201cWe Persist: A Women and Gender Studies Seminar in Livingston, TN\u201d which is a collaborative seminar between Tech\u2019s Women and Gender Studies minor, Tech\u2019s Women\u2019s Center, and the Livingston Civic and Garden Club. Her seminar&#8217;s goals are \u201cto increase understanding of women\u2019s activist history in Tennessee, raise awareness of specific gender-based issues facing Overton County, and provide practical strategies to address these issues,\u201d with the intended attendees being high school students and K-12 teachers.
