Dr. Bower&#8217;s team proposed their project titled \u201cUniting, Empowering, and Engaging our Upper Cumberland Community to Reduce Mental Health Issues and Substance Misuse: Community-Based Training in Mental Health First Aid &amp; Adverse Childhood Experiences,\u201d which aims to educate Upper Cumberland community members about \u201cthe impact of adverse childhood experiences, identification of mental health issues and substance misuse, and actionable steps\u201d to help struggling individuals by conducting at least 24 necessary training courses before June.
