(Snacks will be served starting at 3:30pm.) The speaker will be Dr. Frank Gonzalez from Oak Ridge National Lab. Dr. Gonzalez is part of a team looking for &#8220;mirror matter&#8221;, which is often explained in the popular press as a search for an alternate &#8220;mirror universe&#8221;. Dr. Gonzalez will discuss this work and how it connects with scientists&#8217; ongoing efforts to better understand the universe at a fundamental level.
