Rural Reimagined is\u00a0pleased to recognize the winners of TN Tech\u2019s\u00a0Eagle Works\u00a0Idea Challenge competition, Bailee Kauffman and Elijah Brooks!\u00a0The Idea Challenge is a competition for all students and programs across campus to come up with an idea for a product, business, or service\u00a0that is feasible and solves a problem. Competitors present a 90 second pitch of their idea to the judges and compete for $1,500 in\u00a0prizes.\u00a0About her win, Kauffman states,\u00a0\u201cI am beyond honored to have placed first in the Idea Challenge! This year, I innovated a safety necklace\u00a0called the Phoenix\u00a0that is linked to an app on your smart phone. The safety necklace mimics an ordinary\u00a0necklace but\u00a0has the potential to save one’s life!”\u00a0Brooks states, \u201cI chose to speak about how\u00a0smart contracts can benefit small businesses, especially those in rural areas.
