Community\u00a0and Student\u00a0Spotlight: Putnam Proud Clean-Up Event<\/p>\n
Rural Reimagined recognizes the\u00a0Tennessee Tech Office of Sustainability\u00a0for their\u00a0annual Putnam Proud Clean-up Event. A total of\u00a070\u00a0Tech students participated in the clean-up that took place in several different areas of the county including roadsides, bike trails, and parts of campus.\u00a0Student groups that participated include African Student Union, Student Members of American Chemical Society, Student Government Association,\u00a0and\u00a0the Office of Sustainability.\u00a0A few other student groups\u00a0plan to participate in a clean-up soon as well.\u00a0The Office of Sustainability gave out supplies to all\u00a0groups, and the Clean Commission gave out t-shirts to all\u00a0who participated. Lydia Young, a student worker in the Office of Sustainability, stated\u00a0\u201cWe look forward to this event every year and love getting to show our appreciation towards Putnam County!\u201d\u00a0\u00a0It was a very successful week of cleaning up Putnam County.\u00a0Wings up!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
