Faculty Spotlight: Dr.\u00a0Josie\u00a0McQuail\u00a0Introduces Students to\u00a0Rugby, TN<\/p>\n
Rural Reimagined wants to recognize Dr. Josie\u00a0McQuail, faculty in the English department,\u00a0for the\u00a0rural\u00a0service-learning\u00a0projects and writing assignments that her English 4995 classes have conducted in Rugby, TN.\u00a0Rugby is both a living village\u00a0and\u00a0historical\u00a0site\u00a0located about an hour and a half east of Cookeville. Over the past couple of years, Dr.\u00a0McQuail\u2019s\u00a0students\u00a0have completed service-learning projects\u00a0to help the Rugby community,\u00a0including an Energy\u00a0Conservation Plan, a new museum exhibit,\u00a0and\u00a0a marketing plan for educating local public school age children, among others.
