Chelsea Rose, ’12 agriculture, was hired as the executive director of the Tennessee FFA , or Future Farmers of America, Foundation earlier this year after a national search.

In the role, Chelsea works with agricultural industry stakeholders, FFA alumni and board members to raise money and support the association.

“This is an incredible opportunity to serve the organization that molded me during my formative years,” she said. “The FFA holds a special place in my heart, and I am proud to be given the chance to work with donors, teachers, students and alumni in this role.”

During her time at Tech, Chelsea was an active member of the campus FFA chapter, serving as its president, the state association president and national vice president. She also won the Derryberry Award, Tech’s highest student honor. She joined the organization when she was a student at Eagleville High School in Rutherford County.

She came to the FFA from her position as a government affairs specialist with the Tennessee Electric Cooperative Association.

Chelsea is married to John Rose, ’88 agribusiness economics, another lifelong volunteer and FFA leader. He is also a member of the TTU Foundation.
