Jake Vidourek, music performance ’10 and German ’10, has been named a 2014 Fulbright alumni ambassador. As an ambassador, he will mentor potential applicants and serve as a spokesperson and recruiter for the Fulbright program.

Vidourek, a native of Cincinnati, Ohio, was a recipient of the Fulbright/AAEC Combined Grant to Austria, he spent the 2010- 2011 and 2011-2012 academic years in Vienna, where he lived, taught English and worked on a research project about the development of the Viennese oboe. He presented parts of his research at the Altenmarkt Seminar as part of his Fulbright Grant and was fortunate enough to perform in a Europe-wide collaboration of Fulbright musicians for the German Fulbright Commission’s annual conference in Berlin.

He is currently working on his master’s thesis about Michael Ende’s “Die Unendliche Geschichte” and teaching Beginning German at the University of Oklahoma.
